Super Visa insurance - what is it?
The Canadian government launched a special program called the “Super visa” to offer multi-entry visas with a validity of 10 years for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents. This allows them to visit their families for up to 2 years without having to renew their visa status.

To apply for a super visa, the applicant must submit proof that they have purchased Canadian medical insurance with a minimum sum insured of $100,000 and a minimum validity of 1 year. Super visa applicants have to submit proof that they have purchased Canadian medical insurance with a minimum sum insured of $100,000 and with a validity of at least 1 year. The visitor's emergency health insurance that meets these requirements is sometimes referred to as "super visa insurance".

What are the payment options?
The most common payment option is to pay the premium in full through a credit card, debit card, or check.

Another option is to pay with easy monthly installments on a credit card.

How does the monthly payment plan work?
In order to purchase the super visa insurance through this option, you must make a deposit on the total premium by credit card, usually equal to 2 months' worth of the annual premiums. Deposits are usually applied to the last two months of travel.

After the visa approval, you must notify us of the arrival date. As of the arrival date, you will be required to pay regular monthly payments to cover the remaining months of the policy.

Below are some basic facts about the monthly plan:

  • The monthly plan is available for super visa or regular visitor visa applicants applying for a minimum of $100,000 coverage.
  • If your Super Visa application is denied, you will receive a full refund minus the policy fee after showing the letter of visa denial. There are no exceptions.
  • Prorated refunds are available when the insured returns home early.

  • At einsured.ca, our licensed advisors can help you choose a policy with the most cost-effective option with a payment option that works for you.

The monthly payment plan is not available with all companies. Please call us to learn more about which companies are offering this option.

A monthly payment plan is an affordable way to reduce the financial burden of paying the premium over the course of several months. By doing this, you can enjoy stress-free time with your family and loved ones.
